We are looking into the possibility of installing some large LFD displays around the school for displaying digital content and notices etc.
Ideally we would like intelligent displays that can be connected to our ethernet network so we can direct specific content to a particular display.
The files formats we would like supported are all the major Microsoft Office files (Power Point, Word, Excel), PDF, JPG, movie files (AVI, MOV, MPEG2, MPEG4, DivX/XviD, H.264 etc..) HTML.
We have been looking around the web and the Samsung LFD SM520DXN-B seems to be a popular choice.
We have had a lot of people approach us with solutions that don't quite fit in with what the school wants, so we would probably need to arrange an appointment with potential suppliers which would involve a representative who fully understands the technology so they could answer our questions fully.
Cost pending this is something we would like to have installed in the upcoming months so the system is operational for the new academic year in September.
