Playground Extension Willow Area
Provide a tarmacadam surface from a point 10 lin.m along the rear building (eight panes to rhs, of door) curving towards the seating area and joining a 2m radius arc around the tree stump returning to the corner of the left hand building adjacent to the ramp.
Tarmac up to the buildings, keeping the new surfacing 150mm below damp course with a gentle fall area to the seating area for surface water run off. Encroach up to the existing ramps as to pick up the levels slightly.
Extend the present path to meet the new tarmacadam surface from the remaining doorway
Specification:
Reduce level excavation to a depth of 225mm disposing of material off site to licensed landfill
• Excavate for and install I50mm deep precast concrete path edging, bedded and haunched in premix concrete to perimeter of works away from building.
• To roll formation and supply and lay a geotextile membrane over entire area of works to alleviate any settlement due to ground water.
• To supply and compact 150mm of hardcore.
• To supply and hand lay 50mm of 20mm dense Binder Course and 25mm of 6mm medium textured surface course to EN13108 part 5, laid tO falls and compacted with a vibrating roller.
• leave the tree stump in place and surface up to it.
• Installation of a French drain 3OOmm wide and 600mm deep. filled with shingle, with geotextile and topsoil over along the grass margin of the new works to assist with surface water runoff
