Cleaning needs:
Premises Comprises: Main entrance, corridor and two short flights of steps (4 steps each), all 8 classrooms, 3 office areas, 2 small group rooms, staff room, cloakrooms, staff and children’s toilets.
Monday to Friday (39 weeks per academic year)
1 . Thoroughly sweep all uncarpeted floor areas
2. Vacuum clean all carpeted areas throughout, hand brush corners and poorly accessible areas
3. Dust all furniture, telephones, desks, chairs, cabinets, tables, bookcases etc.
4. Dust skirting boards, pipes, etc.
5. Dust low window and partition ledges.
6. Dust all window sills. Ledges, shelves, radiators etc. throughout the school.
7. Dust all fire extinguishers, hose reels and other equipment.
8, Sweep and wash all toilet floors, using disinfectant solution.
9. Clean all wash basins, taps, w/c seats, urinals and towel cabinets.
10. Clean and polish all mirrors throughout.
11 Wipe down tiles at rear of wash hand basins.
12. Wipe marks from toilet doors, walls and partitions.
13. Clean and polish all chrome fittings to all toilet facilities.
14. Spot mop all uncarpeted floor areas as necessary with anti-bacterial detergent.
15. Wash clean tops of all tables to all departments
16. Clean and polish stainless steel sinks, drainers and work surfaces- throughout the school.
17. Clean and disinfect all kitchen work surfaces.
18. Empty. Clean and re-line kitchen, office and classroom waste bins.
19. Clean exterior of staff room microwave and fridge.
20. Spot clean all internal partitions and door glass.
Weekly
1. Polish all wood finish desks, tables, bookcases, cabinets, etc.
2. Remove finger marks from around door handles and light switches.
3. Scour and disinfect all sanitary ware.
4. Clean and sterilize telephone instruments.
October half term
No cleaning carried out.
Christmas Holidays
1. Machine scrub with deodorising detergents all toilet and wash areas, changing and cloakroom hard floor surfaces.
2, Maintain all uncarpeted hard floor surfaces throughout the school, using high speed buffing machine, leaving areas with a high prestige shine (excluding main hall).
February half term
No cleaning carried out.
Easter holidays
1. Machine scrub with deodorising detergents all toilet and wash areas, changing and cloakroom hard floor surfaces.
2, Maintain all uncarpeted hard floor surfaces throughout the school, using high speed buffing machine, leaving areas with a high prestige shine (excluding main hall).
May half term
No cleaning carried out.
Summer holidays
1. Wash down to 2.5 metres, wall to main corridor and all teaching/class rooms.
2. Vacuum clean or otherwise remove all loose dirt and dust from all high ledges, cornices, mouldings, tops of cupboards, pipes, cabinets and other not easily accessible areas throughout.
3. Machine scrub and suction dry all hard floor surfaces throughout, (excluding main hall floor), finishing with a clear water rinse, allow to dry and apply two coats of high metalised emulsion polish leaving areas with a high prestige shine.
4. Vacuum clean all chairs and upholstered furnishings.
5. Thoroughly wash furnishings to classrooms and staff room, desks, tables, chairs, etc.
6. Acid clean all sanitary ware throughout.
7. Wash down all toilet, cloakroom and changing room walls throughout.
8. Shampoo all carpet areas, using hot water extraction system.
